Stannis

Jenna Stannis is fascinating. She is a free trader (another way to spell smuggler) who learnt to fly a ship under circumstances akin to those she faces now, chased often by our pursuit ships. Her talents are prodigious, as is her intelligence. Of all Blake's crew, she is the one who would be most able to survive alone and she knows it.

For that reason, her decision to stay with Blake is a real decision. Undoubtedly she knows that leaving would be safer. Capturing a smuggler is less of a priority than pursuing a political criminal. However, like many of her kind, she has a romantic streak, even a glimmer of idealism, a passionate need for freedom and too much experience of liars and conmen. Faced with Blake, a man of profound, if misguided integrity, she may well find she believes in him.

One thing you can be sure of with the free traders, their friendships are intense and loyal. Blake will show her the same affectionate regard he shows the others and she will respond warmly. There is one other thing. There may well be a chance of romantic attachment between these two, if Blake is not too blinkered by his cause to see it.

All in all, Jenna will be a great asset to Blake, and I doubt she will leave him willingly.
